This is also good made with raisin bread.
• 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
• 3 large bananas, mashed
• ¼ tsp. nutmeg
• 24 slices hearty white bread, crusts removed
• 6 eggs
• 3 c. half and half
• 2 tsp. vanilla
Beat together cream cheese, banana and nutmeg. Spread 12 slices with the mixture and sandwich with the remaining 12.
In blender, combine eggs, half and half and vanilla.
Pour into shallow dish. Dip the sandwiched bread into the mixture and cook on hot electric griddle (375°) sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
